The White Crater of Ciwidey

Ciwidey is a mount tourism place in Bandung. It is located in Patuha mount hillside, Kecamatan Ciwidey, Kabupaten Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. It is about 46 km from Bandung City as the Capital town of West Java. The white crater Ciwedey is the most interesting place in this location and it is about 2194 meter above sea water level. The crater made of by the explosion of Patuha mount in 1000-2000 but it has been stable and there is no magma activity since 1600.

At the early no body want to visit it caused the villagers at this area believes that the white Ciwedey crater is sacred place. They believe caused there is no animals lives at around that place. However, in 19^th century a Dutchmen named Junghun visit that place and talk the reason why no animals live at around it. He releases his argument that the areas full by the thick fumaroles sulfur produce decay smell and white color at the crater, that is why the bird reluctant to fly above it.

The temperature at Ciwedey crater could be 10 degree Celsius at the day and 5 degree at night but it is only happened in July until August. According to the visitor who are come to this place, they cannot stay longer caused the temperature is so cold and add by the flow of the wind. It is suit place to relax and spending our holiday with our family. The white Patuha Crater (Ciwedey) in fact is a lake around the cliff and in other side be a slope slightly like a beach. The most things is very unique from this place is the color of the water could be change depends on the mineral there. Sometimes it is white, green or blue. More over not only white crater you could visit but also not far from there, you could get the strawberry garden so you could refresh and taste it.

de Ranch as Other Side Tourism of Bandung

There are so many tourism places in Bandung, one of them is de Ranch. It is located in Maribaya, Kab. Lembang, Bandung, Indonesia. De Ranch is horsing tourism where the visitors are offered to enjoy the beautiful scenery by horsing. The visitors could be going around of ranch area by horsing use cowboys costume. This place has prepared special costume, guide, and special horse. The last data this ranch has 18 Holland cows, 22 local and import horses, and some Ottawa goats.

The horses content of import and local, so the visitors could choose by their self. Local horses sometimes for beginner and children whereas the import for the expert. The visitors will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Putri Mount as the background the Ranch. Putri mount very beautiful if we see it from far away, this area has fresh air and good for relax area. Beside of that you could choose another activity such as flying fox, rock climbing, outbound, go around by cart, and taste the delicious of traditional food.

In according to the visitor information, the tariff of horse if we want to ride is very cheap. Only by paying US$2/horse, you could ride it for one pit or about 700 meters distance. The visitors look very happy and satisfy to visit this place. More over this place not only for tourism but also for traditional ranch and milker place.
